Amazon.com!
| Web Address: |
www.amazon.com |
| Contact: |
I couldn't
find a physical address, but you can contact them via this
page. |
| Print Catalog Available?: |
No. |
| Payment Accepted: |
Amazon.com
accepts American Express, Diners Club, Discover, JCB, MasterCard,
Eurocard, Visa, Visa Check Cards, Amazon.com gift certificates,
checks, money orders, or cashier's checks denominated in U.S.
dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank. So basically just about
anything. |
| Bonus!: |
I've
occasionally received coupons along with my purchases. This
usually happens around the holiday season or if they launch
a new section of their website. Sign up for some of their
mailings, sometimes I've gotten $5 gift certificates from
them. Amazon.com is reliable, and trustworthy. The brand familiarity
is a plus, especially if you depend on someone else's permission
and/or credit card to order. (say a parents) |
| Watch Out! |
Sometimes
in their catalog items that have been available in the past
couple months are still listed as "coming soon".
I don't know if that would actually interfere with you receiving
your product as I've never had the courage to order something
marked that way. Also, Amazon is almost never the lowest price
on an item, shop around before you buy here. |
| Personal Experience: |
I
haven't ordered too much anime from Amazon, usually their
prices are too high. But the few times I have I've gotten
my package quickly and safely. Because I work a wacky schedule
I'm often not at home when the delivery guys come, but Amazon
allows for absentee deliveries so I've never had a problem
getting a package. I think the thing I like best about their
site is the recommendations system they have on their website.
While it may seem rather spooky, Amazon stores a lot of information
about what you browse and buy from their website. The longer
you browse the more information they have on you. After a
while the site will begin to recommend selections that are
taylored just for you. Also tons of other fans have made use
of their "listmania" feature and have made pages
detailing their favorites on the genre. I've discovered quite
a few titles by browsing on those lists that I probably wouldn't
have on my own. |
