Basket CD Info!
There are several Fruits Basket CDs out. Two maxi-singles, the
soundtrack, an image album and a drama album. If you're looking
to buy, check out my store info on the 'buy
stuff' page. Something to be aware of is that there are two
versions of these CDs available, the offical legitimage version
that supports the creators and singers, and the HK bootlegger version
that rips them off. Anything from the publishers "Son May"
or "Ever Anime" are bootlegs. The official versions were
put out by "King" or "Victor" records. If the
publisher isn't listed you can figure it out from the cover art
(It slightly differs from the pictures below) or the price. Generally
speaking if it's $13 or under, it's a bootleg. Support the original
creators and the talents used to create these albums and buy the
official versions!

that contains 4 tracks, two versions of both the opening,
"For Fruits Basket" and the closing "Chisana
inori" (Little Prayer). One version is the version
with vocals, the other an instrumental version. The
vocals are sung by Ritsuko Okazaki.

Fruits Basket Original Soundtrack
This is
the soundtrack for the anime. It has 28 songs, including
the opening and ending, sung by Ritsuko Okazaki. Most
of the songs are instrumentals by "Double Oates"
and are quite fun and distinctive. These include many
of the character themes and an insturmental version
of teru-teru momiji. Sadly there is no vocals version.

Fruits Basket Drama CD
This album is not a music album, its a radio-style drama.
It came out before the anime series so the seiyuus (voice
actors) for some of the characters are different. It
was a promotional item that came with Hana to Yume.
It came with a booklet
that had background on the characters.

Plot:
Momiji convinces Yuki, Kyou, Tooru, Kagura, Haru to
have try out a nagashi soumen (a bamboo slide where
noodles are sent down to the bottom for everyone to
eat).

The (so
called) Fruits Basket Vocal Album
This album
is a big fat bootleg! It's put out by Ever Anime and
as far as I can tell from the tracklisting
all they did was take the two maxi-singles and the image
album Shiki and combine them onto one CD.
If you buy
this album be aware you are ripping off the orignal
creator, the vocal talent that worked on the disc, and
anyone else who put time and money into creating the
orignal albums. They don't receive one red cent of the
money you spend on this album. Instead some dirty bootlegger
gets your cash and turns around and rips off more people
by stealing more CD content!
